Medical malpractice may occur when a doctor makes an incorrect diagnosis, fails to treat a patient’s condition promptly, issues a wrong prescription, or neglects to administer appropriate care, and as a result, the patient suffers a serious injury. The victim may be overwhelmed with medical bills as well as emotional pain and suffering.
If you’re looking for medical malpractice lawyers in New York City or elsewhere, you should know that the statute of limitations (the time allowed to file a claim) is often shorter in cases involving medical malpractice than ordinary negligence. After that time period expires, the patient is prohibited from seeking compensation for injuries sustained from medical malpractice. This time period, however, is usually longer for cases involving children. Therefore, if you suspect that you or your loved one has been injured as a result of medical malpractice, it is important that you seek legal counsel quickly. Contact New York Medical Malpractice Lawyers Isaacson,Schiowitz & Korson, LLP. for a FREE consultation. If we agree to handle your case, there will be no legal fee unless we are successful in getting you money. Your lawsuit must be filed before the statute of limitations expires; otherwise, it may be barred forever. So please call or contact us right away so that you do not lose your rights to compensation.
