    Of course they …
Of course they applaud. Doctors aren’t poor

  2. BladeDaRazor Says:

    They should start …
    They should start in California

  3. darkraider47 Says:

    This obviously was …
This obviously was a political move, and a good one at that. However, the data and evidence that suggests that medical malpractice reform is not complete and certainly does not allow us to make causation claims.

  4. NYbeerdude Says:

    I agree – I hate …
I agree – I hate lawyers who sue doctors. Unless its Michael Jackson’s “doctor” lol!

    You pay for it …
You pay for it three times over when someone goes to the emergency room without insurance. They can’t turn people away—they took the Hippocratic oath. Now, the sensible thing would be to force the Ins. Co.s to provide affordable health care so middle-class and rich people won’t have to subsidize the burden.

  7. babiesboy1933 Says:

    What is he lying …
What is he lying about? It’s in the reform package. Seriously, you republicunts are off your rocker

  8. joeasmythe Says:

    he can’t do that, …
he can’t do that, the dimocrats are supported by the trial lawyers. ubama knows that he is just doing his normal BS, and when the lawyers say they will stop donating, he will forget all about tort reform. He lies too much to be president.

  9. bren2k5 Says:

    Nope
    Nope

  10. p00lman Says:

    Nice, you feel so …
Nice, you feel so threatened by the opinions at others that you’d wish death upon them. What an enlightened thinker you are.

  11. pisceslass Says:

    I dont think “caps” …
I dont think “caps” are the answer. Honesty, integrity and compassion to fellow human beings would go a long way. Drop the frivalous suits before they go anywhere. Hold attorneys accountable for encouraging pts to “play the lotto”. Get malpractice back to reasonable suits, ? no

  12. marniespeaks Says:

    and if there are …
and if there are caps on every law suit what happens to cases of real abuse or mistakes?

if you’re gonna cap law suits better cap profits as well

  13. marniespeaks Says:

    they can do that now
    they can do that now

  14. mpost81 Says:

    So stop drinking …
So stop drinking the kool aid and while your at it stop breathing.

Obama Lies… Free insurance policy? No new taxes for anybody who makes under 250K… his very health care plan is a tax.

  15. pisceslass Says:

    Did I hear “Boo’s” …
Did I hear “Boo’s” in the background?”

  16. pisceslass Says:

    These are more the …
These are more the things that need to be addressed. The personal injury attorneys heavily finance the politicians and it is difficult for them to consider even discussing malpractice. When families do receive financial rewards for their loved ones’ needs, suffering, etc:the lawyers take up to 30%. This can be millions. The profit to the attorneys also needs to be reviewed.

  17. pisceslass Says:

    The lawyers need to …
The lawyers need to be held accountable also. Perhaps along with national healthcare, we need “national malpractice carriers.” As a OB in COOK Cty, we pay $150,000 a year to deliver babies. My ex partner made 42,000 3 years ago, after the overhead expenses. The rates are killing us, when coupled with the decreased reimbursements. An OB in Montana pays 1/5th of what we do for coverage.

  18. pisceslass Says:

    Everyone needs to …
Everyone needs to be held accountable for errors. Reform does not mean elimination of our right to sue . The schools, businesses, individuals, etc all are plagued by frivalous law suits and “ambulance chasers” .

  19. p00lman Says:

    So stop buying …
    So stop buying tobacco products.

  20. pwnstoohard Says:

    yeah but they’ll …
yeah but they’ll never hear about it because the doctor will say “we couldn’t save him/her”

  21. marniespeaks Says:

    they will all sing …
they will all sing a different tune when their doctor or hospital kills a loved one by mistake

  22. MyImago Says:

    National health …
National health spending is expected to reach $2.5 trillion in 2009, accounting for 17.6 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP). By 2018, national health care expenditures are expected to reach $4.4 trillion—more than double 2007 spending. (Sitka)
The Republicans and or Obama plan, is just more of the same. Plenty of profit for the greedy pharmaceuticals and the health care companies. We should model a European Plan, is just 10% of their GDP & we’ll save 1 Trillion dollars a year.

  23. Smartassawhip Says:

We need to step up …
We need to step up our game and get involved. For ways in which you can do that visit the comment section of my profile. For thoes of you who are still confused about health care reform may also find the information there useful as I have several resources listed including the ez to read version of the bill and much more.

    uuuh the ones that …
uuuh the ones that pay for the tobacco and unhealthy foods

  25. Hodaka56 Says:

    Right now, medical …
Right now, medical malpractice is like a lottery for the Lawyers because if you file and lose, you have virtually nothing invested. If however, you file a suit and lose and were responsible to pay ALL costs for the defendant I suspect we could thin the heard considerably. Right now, lawyers, for a very small investment (virtually no risk) have a shot a winning the Lotto. I’m pretty sure their odds are better than the Lotto though!
