hey ppl i just wanted to let you noe that hank gathers was my great cousin because that is my aunt lucille’s son hank was a great man and im really sad that i lost him but he is in a better place rite now and just to let u noe that is my dad’s nephew because my dad and my aunt is brother and sister:(

You are remembering wrong. LMU did play an incredible OT game at LSU earlier in the 1990 season, but Gather’s death occurred during the West Coast Conference tournament. LMU went on to reach the elite eight where they lost to eventual champ UNLV.

I remember the day …
I remember the day this happened, LMU was in the thick of the Final Four, and ended up being beaten during the first round by a talented LSU team, which included, among others, Shaq, at center.
